Jaxx Does Not Offer Phone Support

We take great pride in offering one of the best, free, multi-platform, multi-currency digital asset wallets in the industry, and with it comes a world-class support system, but we do not offer and have never offered phone support. The Jaxx User Success team believes our written support channels deliver high-quality, responsive help in a way that is fast and clear. This means that our User Success team works around the clock to rapidly assist users through written support channels like email, web tickets and social media.

As such, anyone posing as a member of the Jaxx User Success team with a phone query is not us, so please be aware that is a tell-tale sign of an impostor. Beyond that, please be on the lookout for anyone calling you, pretending to be a member of the Jaxx User Success team. We do not call our users to offer wallet recovery services.

Jaxx offers industry-leading world-class support services for free

It is a fact that we cannot actually offer any wallet recovery services as all the wallet security information is only saved locally, on your device, there is nothing saved on any Jaxx server for us to recover for you. Your Jaxx Wallet master seed is generated randomly through an industry standard protocol (BIP39) and by keeping a copy of it safe, you are guaranteed full ownership management of your digital assets.  Please be safe and guard your wallet information and digital assets. Nobody on the Jaxx User Success team will ever request your 12-word Backup Phrase or your Private Keys, which should be stored safely and not shared with anyone you do not want to grant direct access to your digital assets.

We decided to stick to written support only because one clear advantage is that it’s efficient and transparent for a global user base. The Jaxx team does not offer phone support, but it does offer 24-hour free help through written channels if you request it. If you need help, you can choose one of the following options:

  1. Go to Jaxx.io and click on Support (in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen) then click on Submit A Request (also in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen)
  2. Tag @Jaxx_Support on Twitter
  3. Post in our subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/jaxx/

We have chosen to offer these written communication methods for a reason, and that is to provide users with the very best support experience possible. The Jaxx team does not offer phone support and we have a system in place that serves users well, based on your feedback and best practices. In addition, we have carefully selected the teams that make up the Jaxx User Success department to ensure a rapid and robust solution-focused approach.

Thank you for your continuing trust and support,

Andrei Daniliuc

What’s in a name?

We have good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news. There was an imposter account on Twitter with the handle @jaxxsupport which was confusing people. Please note that our company tweets about all things Jaxx from Jaxx_Support and jaxx_io (notice the placement of the underscores). These are your best Twitter sources for updates and news about the Jaxx cryptocurrency wallet.

This imposter “Jaxx Support” account was using the handle @jaxxsupport

The imposter account stated that it was located in California. But we are based in Toronto, Canada, and we serve our users and clients all around the world. Plus, it definitely wasn’t us.

The very good news is that we have taken ownership of this space and the people who created it have had their account suspended because it violated Twitter rules.

We want to share this with you, and we want to take some time to thank all our loyal Twitter followers who brought this rogue account to our attention and helped report it to Twitter. We are so grateful for your continued support and your vigilance. Our goal is to give you the best Jaxx cryptocurrency wallet experience available. A big thank you from all of us here at the Decentral team.

30 Days of Jaxx, Day 30: Looking Back and Moving Forward

30 Days of Jaxx, Day 30: Looking Back and Moving Forward

10th October 2017 / Decentral Community Space – Toronto – Today Jaxx pauses to take a look back at the 30 Days of Jaxx and a look forward at the near future of our community.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in Canada and we’re still in a reflective mood. We’re big believers in the power of decentralized technologies, like blockchains, to empower individuals to better control their digital lives. We’re motivated to support the entrepreneurs and projects that are pushing that technology forward. Over the course of our 30DaysOfJaxx campaign we’ve been keen to highlight a few projects and platforms as they make a splash in the decentral ecosystem. We’re thankful we’re able to support these entrepreneurs by exposing them to the large and growing community of Jaxx users.

We’re also thankful for each user of our own blockchain interface, Jaxx. We’re committed to delivering a flexible and powerful tool for your use in managing all your blockchain assets. We’ve integrated 22 new tokens and coins over the course of our 30DaysOfJaxx. We’ll continue our work of identifying exciting new projects and we’ll keep listening to your requests for new integrations. The 30 Days of Jaxx have come to a close but we’ve only just gotten warmed up on our way to supporting a wide variety of crypto assets.

Along the way through the 30 days we took a few days out to highlight a few of the people who drive Jaxx forward. Dr Shu Wang, our new Chief Security Officer, leads our efforts to keep Jaxx a safe and secure platform. Addison Cameron-Huff, our General Counsel, brings deep experience in and knowledge of the blockchain legal landscape. Our team of developers are the beating heart of our platform.

In the future you can expect that we’ll continue our mission to support innovative projects in the decentral ecosystem. We’ll continue to build out our back end nodes to better and more rapidly support forks of the major chains. Most importantly we’ll ask for your feedback on http://twitter.com/jaxx_io and http://twitter.com/jaxx_support to help guide the future development of Jaxx.

30 Days Of Jaxx Day 21- Jaxx Announces the Release of Jaxx 1.3.0

A Major Milestone in the Jaxx Product Timeline

26th September 2017 / Decentral Office Space / Toronto

Decentral Inc, the community hub for blockchain & decentralized technologies and home of the Jaxx Blockchain Wallet Interface, is excited today to announce the release of Jaxx 1.3.0

1.3.0 is a milestone release for the Jaxx team. The release delivers significant back-end performance improvements and front-end UI refinements that together deliver a faster, lighter and more reliable platform to the Jaxx user community.

In early August the process of incorporating the heavy BCH chain into Jaxx 1.2 exposed several areas for improvement to platform. The 1.3 release and the back-end performance improvements it carries have been the highest priority for the team since. New tokens – including BCH – can be rapidly integrated into the 1.3.x platform.

Users eagerly awaiting the integration of BCH into Jaxx should expect to see BCH support roll out in the 1.3.1 or 1.3.2 versions, shortly.

Jaxx 1.3.0 will be released on Android & as a Chrome Extension today, 26th September, and on Desktop & iOS in the following days.

The team at Decentral thanks each Jaxx user for their patience & feedback in the lead up to this release. We’re committed to delivering Jaxx as the most powerful blockchain interface available across all 9 platforms we support. Jaxx users will always be in complete control of their blockchain assets through their masterseed and should always feel welcome to reach out to us for support on @Jaxx_Support or to chat on @Jaxx_IO and Reddit.com/r/jaxx

Jon Newlands

At Jaxx, I: Senior Software Developer

Something to know about me is: I come to Decentral and Jaxx from the Hedge Fund world where I specialized in low latency F/X trading systems.

Introducing 30 Days of Jaxx!

Day 1:  Po.et now live on our platform for token sale participants

Back in 2016, we challenged ourselves to bring 7 Days of Jaxx to you, our users. The goal was to use consecutive days to show what we had been working on leading up to that point. It included new releases of our wallet and announcements on new token integrations. We eventually expanded those 7 days into 14 days. This year, we decided to step it up a notch.

Our goal for this campaign is to demonstrate how we’re building up our multi-coin, multi-interface wallet to be the industry leader. While unveiling a few surprises, we also want to show just how much fun we’re having along the way!

For the 30 days of Jaxx, there will be a number of different announcements and these may include:

  • New Token / Coin Integrations: We’ve continued to build upon our incredible partner network with many emerging and top blockchain projects. Over the next 30 days, we’ll be integrating a number of new coin/token partner projects into our wallet. This will undoubtedly make us one of the most comprehensive wallets in the industry.
  • New Software Updates: Like our previous Days of Jaxx campaign, we’re excited to reveal some new features, designs and additions to our core product, which has made us a favorite for crypto enthusiasts. Stay tuned for a number of key rollouts that will create even more value to our users.
  • Team & Company Announcements: Jaxx is a fast-moving company and we’re constantly growing. We’ll be announcing some major team additions, signaling to our users that we are committed to our mission of empowering people to take back ownership of their digital lives.
Announcing Po.et Integration

On Day #1 of the 30 days of Jaxx, we’re happy to announce that we’re including Po.et integration on all of our platforms. As the official wallet partner for Po.et’s successful crowdsale, users that participated will now be able to see their Po.et balances directly in their Jaxx wallet, all while being able to send and receive tokens securely.

For Po.et users – We would like to remind you that in order to see a new coin or token in your Jaxx wallet, you must go into your settings to activate it.
