Kik & Jaxx Announce Partnership Through KIN.

Jaxx Announces the Addition of Kin to the Jaxx Wallet

11th September 2017 – Toronto

At Jaxx we are excited to support the Blockchain ecosystem as a whole. We’re keen to see all tides rise for Blockchain-focused enterprises and today we’re particularly happy to announce our support in the Jaxx wallet of a long-standing innovator in the communications industry, Kik. With the creation of the Kin token, Kik is engaging Blockchain technology to further enrich their platform and product offering. Kik’s communication platform was first released in 2010 in Waterloo which is “just down the road” from Jaxx in Toronto.

“Kik’s release of the Kin token is a great way for Jaxx to continue to support Blockchain ecosystem growth. This is a great first step in our partnership, and together, we’ll demonstrate the promise of Canadian blockchain innovation,” said Jaxx CEO, Anthony Di Iorio.

Kik is creating Kin as an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain that will be integrated into Kik as the primary transaction currency. With millions of users, Kik hopes to drive mainstream consumer adoption of Kin, potentially making it the most adopted and used cryptocurrency in the world. Kin will create a decentralized ecosystem of digital services through the Kin Rewards Engine, an innovative cryptoeconomic structure intended to promote the use of Kin as a common currency, that will be administered by the Kin Foundation.

Anthony Di Iorio stated, “Decentralization provides a sustainable way forward. Kin in Jaxx is going to be integrated shortly after the token distribution event.”
